KATE STILLE is the co-owner of Nugget Market, Inc., and currently serves as the Chief Impact Officer. Kate leads the company’s philanthropic engagement, public affairs, and public relations. For 18 years, she also served as the company’s VP of Marketing and Communications, helping create an extraordinary grocery experience throughout their communities. For more than 30 years, Kate has been actively involved in Nugget Markets’ communities, serving on numerous nonprofit boards and commissions spanning throughout the Sacramento Valley and foothill region of the Sierras, as well as Marin to Sonoma counties. Kate currently serves on the California CASA board as the Legislative Advocacy & Policy Committee Chair, and as a Board Member of the Yolo Food Bank and the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. Kate was named the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Businesswoman of the Year, received the 2024 Yolo Philanthropy Award from the Yolo Community Foundation and 2019 Spirit of Tiffany Award from the Gold Country Region of the American Red Cross. The family-owned and operated grocer has 18 stores located in the Greater Sacramento Valley region, Marin County and Sonoma Valley and has been serving our region since 1926. Known for its dynamic culture of fun, family, supportive camaraderie, and servant leadership, it has been recognized on FORTUNE Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for 17 consecutive years. She is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, Class XIV, and an alumna of UC Berkeley. She is married and has three grown children and five grandchildren.
