Ways to Help

We’ve made getting involved in the CASA movement easy. Read through the many ways you can help a child in foster care thrive and succeed.

Volunteer as a CASA

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are community members, appointed by a juvenile court judge to speak out on behalf of a child. Most importantly, these volunteers provide stability and hope to abused and neglected children. Volunteering can make a real difference to your life and the lives of those in your community.

Stand up for a child today. Your advocacy gives foster children a voice. Helping a child can begin here – become a CASA Volunteer. Take the first step, find your local CASA program today and get the information you need to get started.

Make a Donation

Please consider making a donation today to support the thousands of foster children throughout the state. No matter how large or small the gift, each donation makes a difference and helps work toward a CASA for EVERY Child. Your gift can be made in honor or memory of someone special by making a donation to California CASA in his or her name. This gift is a meaningful way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, holiday or the memory of a loved one. Donate today, take a look at our Ways to Give.

YOU can make a difference! Your donation will ensure that we can continue this important work. California CASA Association is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. All gifts are tax deductible. California CASAs tax ID number is 68-0163010.

Become a Foster Parent or Adopt a Child

The goal for most children in foster care is to be reunited with their parent(s) so long as reunification remains the child’s permanency plan. However, at times this may not be in the child’s best interest, as determined by the court.

If you’d like to become more involved in a foster child’s life, please consider becoming a foster parent or adopting a child. Contact your local county Department of Social Services to learn more. Every child deserves the chance to grow up in a safe and loving family.
