How to Start a ProgramCASA is a true grassroots movement. From the start, CASA has depended on ordinary, caring and dedicated individuals to recognize that their community’s children need a voice and an advocate. New CASA programs begin when people like you notice and respond to an unmet need. Whether you’re a foster parent who encounters a bureaucratic nightmare while trying to adopt, or a professional who notices that children need help, the need for a trained citizen advocate can be all too apparent. CalCASA provides start-up help for budding CASA programs. We can help with advice and technical assistance on topics ranging from fundraising to volunteer recruitment.
