Runaway YouthWhen youth run away from home or a placement they expose themselves to extreme danger. The chances of youth being victimized skyrocket when they run away. As a CASA, it is more likely that your youth will contact you after they have run away form a placement. Therefore, you should be able to discuss options with them that can keep them as safe as possible. Here are some resources that can inform your advocacy: Homeless and Runaway Youth: Selected Resources 2008 (PDF) Right to Shelter Law Fact Sheet (Word) Legal Rights and Options for Runaway Teens 2003 (PDF)
