Welcome Wal-Mart Team Members!
Thank you for taking the time to learn about CalCASA, and hopefully we can convince you to support our mission! CASA’s are people, just like you who stand up for an abused or neglected child.
In California there are thousands and thousands of children who are abused physically, emotionally, and sexually. These children are often taken from their homes and put into foster care, where they must then try to find their way in the world. These children are truly the most vulnerable.

They get to know the child, talk with them, spend time with them and help them to understand what is happening around them.

They stand up whenever they see that the child is not getting what they need. If someone does something that hurts the child, the CASA is the first one to insist that things change.

They try to get everyone on the same page working for the child’s best interests.

They speak out and give their opinion as to what is best for the child, to make sure that they don’t get overlooked, left behind, or forgotten. If it makes sense for the child to stay with grandma, then the CASA will work to make that happen. If it makes sense to visit with brothers and sisters, then the CASA will make that happen.

CASAs do not get paid for their time – they do it out of a sense of good and belief that they can help. Each year, CASAs dedicate almost half a million hours of their time to needy children.
At CalCASA we work to grow and improve CASA, making sure that California’s army of 6000 CASA volunteers are well trained, supported, and have strong programs to make this happen. A vote for CalCASA is a vote for every child who needs a CASA volunteer.
So, when it comes time to vote, please consider supporting CalCASA!
